The SAAHK is proud to be hosting their annual Sevens Dinner on Wednesday, 4 April 2018 at 6:30 pm at the Hong Kong Football Club. Guests will enjoy a proudly South African evening with excellent company from the BlitzBokke, inspiring speakers and great South African meat and wine. We are extremely excited to announce that former Springbok captain and legend John Smit will be the guest speaker at this year’s dinner.
Giving back to the community is one of the key focus areas of the SAAHK. Over the past six years SAAHK has contributed over HK$ 780,000 to Ons Plek – a home for abused and disadvantaged young girls sleeping on the streets of Cape Town in South Africa. Funds raised at year’s Sevens Dinner will again be donated to this deserving charity. Our annual contribution to Ons Plek enables them to keep their centre running in order to provide these girls with a better life through their residential care and youth development programmes.

Raffle Prize Sponsors
Raffle tickets will be sold at the event and the raffle will be held on the night. A rugby jersey signed by the team will also be up for auction. All raffle and auction proceeds will be donated to Ons Plek.
Other special guests on the night
Guests will be entertained by master of ceremonies Terry Hart – a familiar face on the rugby field as well as the stage. We are also excited to announce that there will be a group of 12 South African children from the CoolPlay programme sharing their experience with guests. The CoolPlay programme uses sport to teach life-skills to South African school children from disadvantaged backgrounds, creating positive change in their lives.
CoolPlay is supported by Laureus, the official charity of the Hong Kong Sevens. They will be visiting Hong Kong as part of an exchange with local Hong Kong charity Operation Breakthrough. Apart from sharing their journey with guests at the dinner, the children will also be joining forces to play in a combined team in a one day youth tournament at King’s Park on Thursday, 5 April as well as an exhibition game on Wednesday, 4 April. They will also be attending the BlitzBokke training session.
Spaces are limited, so book your table as soon as possible. Please contact us at email@example.com for any further enquiries.
